BIOGRAPHY
Deirdre McKenna is a partner of Davidson & William LLP. Deirdre is a litigation lawyer, having practiced general civil litigation for a variety of corporate, public and individual clients for over 20 years. While her practice is diverse, Deirdre counsels clients primarily on contract and property disputes, employment matters, negligence and other tort claims, shareholder and other corporate related disputes, the enforcement of security and foreclosures.
Deirdre has considerable experience at all levels of the Alberta Courts.
Deirdre also advises a number of not-for profit organizations on creation and governance, litigation, employment and contract issues.
Deirdre received her B.A. from the University of Lethbridge, her M.A. from Dalhousie University and her LL.B. from the University of Toronto. She was called to the Bar in 2001.
Deirdre was raised in Southern Alberta and practiced at a major Calgary law firm before returning to Southern Alberta with her family and joining Davidson & Williams LLP in February 2009.
Deirdre has previously served on the Boards of a number of community non-profit organizations and has lectured at the Faculty of Management at the University of Lethbridge and the School of Business at Lethbridge Community College.
Deirdre is currently a Board Member of the Alberta Law Reform Institute.
