Charlene is a lifelong learner with a love for the law. She strives to truly embody our client centered approach and works hard to cultivate relationships inside and outside our firm. She started her journey with us in May 2018 as a summer student and returned in June 2019 as a student-at-law. In June 2020, Charlene joined our firm as an associate. She obtained her law degree from Thompson Rivers University and her Bachelor of Education from Mount Royal University. Charlene worked in the legal field prior to law school as a corporate legal assistant and credits this experience as the one that set her on the path to become a lawyer. Charlene finds herself drawn to a solicitor practice but is excited to continue to learn and grow as a lawyer.

Being involved in her community is something that is important to Charlene. She volunteers both nationally and provincially, as well as within the Lethbridge community. Charlene is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Lethbridge Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association. She currently serves with the YWCA Lethbridge & District as the Vice President of Governance & Legislation and as a Board Member; with the Canadian Bar Association National Law Students section as the Past-Chair; and as a member of the Law Society of Alberta Practice Foundations Advisory Committee focused on lawyer competence. She also volunteers with the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce on the convenor and catalyst committees.

Charlene was raised in southern Alberta and spent most of her childhood summers at 40 Mile Reservoir camping and slalom skiing. In her spare time, Charlene enjoys playing piano, snowboarding, and spending time with her fur babies, Phoebe, Frankie, and Ellie.
