Charlene first joined our firm in May 2018 as a summer student. She returned in June 2019 as a student-at-law after completing her law degree in Kamloops, BC. Prior to law school, Charlene completed her Bachelor of Education in 2016 as a member of the first cohort of the joint Medicine Hat College/Mount Royal University collaboration program. While completing her studies in Medicine Hat she was also a corporate legal assistant. While Charlene finds herself drawn to corporate law, she has enjoyed exploring other areas of law during her articling year and is excited to continue to learn and grow as a lawyer. Charlene anticipates being called to the bar in July 2020.

Charlene is actively involved in the legal community both nationally and provincially, as well as the Lethbridge community. Charlene is a member of the Lethbridge Bar Association and Canadian Bar Association. She is currently the Chair of the Canadian Bar Association National Law Students section and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta Practice Foundations Advisory Committee focused on lawyer competence. She also volunteers with the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce on the convenor and catalyst committees.

Charlene was raised in southern Alberta and spent most of her childhood summers at 40 Mile Reservoir camping, slalom skiing, tubing, and kneeboarding. In her spare time, Charlene enjoys playing piano, snowboarding, and spending time with her husband and her cats.
