W.C. Richard Davidson Q.C.
Richard received his early education in the Lethbridge Public School system. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.A., LL.B. and joined the family firm in 1968 to do his articling. He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1969, appointed to Queens Counsel in 1986, and continues to practice law at Davidson & Williams.
Richard is a member of the Lethbridge Bar Association and he was awarded a Distinguished Service award for service to the community by the Law Society of Alberta in 2000.
He has served in the community in the capacity of President, Chairman, and/or board member of various organizations such as the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce, Kidney Foundation and the City of Lethbridge. He was also awarded a life membership for his commitment to the Kinsmen Club.
Richard served on the University of Lethbridge Senate from 1983 to 1991 and was the Chancellor from 2007 to 2011. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from the University of Lethbridge in 2012.
Richard remains an iconic influence and collaborative resource for members of the firm while enjoying a reduced work schedule.
